Three full worked examples using type language—never invented weapon titles. Use these as drills alongside the weapons table and Sha-Chi notes.
1. Opening loadout by role
Scenario: First hour after tutorial, before any Edge drop is verified.
You have two primary slots and two empty Phantom Edge slots (press 2+2 framing).
Pressure starter: Equip a one-handed primary in slot A for readable
strings and simpler recovery. Leave slot B as a second one-handed or a dual-wield primary you swap into when
Sha-Chi dips (Forbes: primary swap restores). Keep both Edge slots empty until a boss drop confirms a
reach-family or ranged-family Edge—do not invent Soft Snake Sword as a guaranteed starter;
attributed names stay 待核实 on the table.
Precision-counter starter: Same one-handed A slot, but prioritize parry drills
over long offensive strings. Slot B holds a slightly slower two-handed primary for punish windows after a
successful deflect. Edges still wait on verified drops. See
weapons and
Edges.
Dual-tempo starter: Slot A = one-handed pressure; slot B = dual-wield speed.
Practice three swaps per trash pack so the restore habit is automatic before The Hunt (reported).
2. Parry / dodge tell scenario
Scenario: Early gated foe or the reported Hunt cart duel. Camera is tight;
the foe winds a heavy.
Fan hubs describe a white-flash parry window versus a
red-flash deathblow / Killer tell that you should dodge or Ghoststep-like
reposition away from (official name and window 待核实). Exact color mapping is
not asserted as fact here.
Drill: Intentionally take five white-window parries, then five red-avoid
attempts. After each, glance at Sha-Chi. If a failed block dumped the meter, space out and swap to your second
primary before re-engaging. Log what your patch actually shows—overwrite this example’s color language if your
build uses different cues. Pair with the
beginner guide step on tells.
3. Weapon-swap Sha-Chi scenario
Scenario: Mid-boss string. You are on a one-handed primary; Sha-Chi is below
half after a blocked Brutal-style sequence (Forge branding for block-drain attacks —
待核实).
Action: Finish the current safe string, then swap to your second primary
(dual-wield or two-handed) to restore Sha-Chi per Forbes. Do not open with a heavy commit on the new blade until
you see the meter tick up. If an Edge slot is filled with a reach-family Edge, you may poke once for
spacing—but Edge-swap restore behavior is unverified; prefer primary swaps for the restore drill.
Abort rule: If the pool is nearly empty and a Killer-style unblockable is
telegraphing, dodge first; swap after you survive. Empty-pool guard-break remains
待核实—see
Sha-Chi explained. Never encode speculative recovery
math into FAQ structured data.
